The terms, in plain words.
What you get, what we collect and why, how we check professional details, the optional choice to hear from our family of brands, and the lines we never cross.
Last updated 30 October 2026
1.Who we are
First Look Equities, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, publishes free, impersonal research on small public companies at firstlookequities.com, on a regular schedule, for everyone on our list. We are a publisher. We are not a broker-dealer, an investment adviser or a funding portal, and we do not hold anyone’s money or securities.
These terms cover your subscription and your use of this website. By subscribing, or by using the site, you agree to them.
2.What you get
The First Look Weekly, the daily board, notices of new coverage, First Look Scores, event notices and subscriber reports, all free. Companies we cover pay nothing for coverage or for a score. If a company we write about ever pays us, our founder or a related company for anything, every piece about it will say who paid, for what and how much.
3.What we collect and why
Required: your email address, to send what you asked for, and how you describe yourself (individual investor, accredited investor, fund or family office, research analyst, broker or adviser, company executive or ir, media), so we choose what to send you.
Optional: your first name; your firm, title and work email; a public professional profile link; a CRD number if you are a registered broker or adviser; the topics and companies you follow; your choices about our family of brands.
We also record when and where you signed up, the version of these terms you accepted, your choices, whether our emails arrive and are opened, and security data such as IP address. Never send us account numbers, holdings, net worth, income or identity documents; we do not ask for them. We never sell personal information. The full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
4.How we verify
- Your email. You are subscribed only after you click the one-time link we email you.
- Professional details. If you describe yourself as a professional, we may compare what you told us with your work-email domain, your public professional profile and public records such as FINRA BrokerCheck and the SEC’s Investment Adviser Public Disclosure site. We check by hand, never scrape or buy data about you, and keep the result to ourselves. If something doesn’t match, we may ask you.
- Accredited status. We do not verify it. If you describe yourself as an accredited investor, we record that as self-described, never share it with any company, and it gives you access to no investment. We use it only to choose which free research and events to tell you about.
- We never describe anyone as a “verified investor”. “Email confirmed” means you clicked our link; “professional details provided” means you told us.
5.Our family of brands (optional)
At sign-up or later, you may choose to hear from any of these brands. The choice is optional, starts unticked and works brand by brand. Saying no does not affect your First Look subscription.
- AIEDGE Media: AI, SI and AR stories
- Luxury Marine Life: charters with licensed operators and the Hottie Yachtie Yacht Club
- Health On The Water: the luxurymarinelife.shop store
- LimitlessPro: AI and AR solutions for business
- Timebroker.SI: our founder's SI consulting
- G.A.R.M.N.: Global Aquatic Resource Management Network, ocean conservation
Each brand you choose receives only your email address, your first name and the record of your choice, and may email you under its own name about its products, services, events and content. This consent never covers offers of securities or investment opportunities. To stop hearing from one brand, use the unsubscribe link in its emails, change your preferences or write to us; the other brands and your First Look subscription are unaffected. We act within 10 business days. We will never add a brand to your choices, or widen what a brand may send, without asking you again.
6.No advice, no offers
Our research is general information for all readers. It is not tailored to you and it is not a recommendation to buy, sell or hold any security. It may contain errors, speaks only as of its date and may not be updated. Do your own research and talk to a licensed professional before investing.
Nothing on our site or in our emails is an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any security. We are never paid to introduce investors to companies, never take equity or a success fee for coverage, never time a piece to a financing and never pass readers’ details to any company raising money.
8.First Look Points and perks
Readers earn First Look Points for things that make the research better: confirming an email, finishing a profile, checking in on market days, answering the daily question, telling us what was useful, sharing our own newsletter content (the daily question, reader guides, their Black Card, their invite), starting a reader group, and inviting people they know who then confirm their own email. The current values, daily limits and perks are listed on our community page.
- Never for promoting a security. We never award points, perks or anything else for posting, sharing or saying anything about a particular company or security; pages about a company never earn sharing points. Only invitations to the newsletter itself, through your own invite link, earn invitation points.
- No cash value. Points can’t be bought, sold, transferred or exchanged for money, securities or any investment, and they give no access to any investment. Perks are research and community perks, such as early reading, a seat at a live reader Q&A or an invitation to a reader group.
- Where points live. Activity points are kept in your browser until you sign in; invitation points are counted by us when the person you invited confirms. We check before any perk goes out and may correct points that come from misuse, such as fake sign-ups or inviting people who never asked.
- Inviting people. Invite only people you know and who would want this. When a share earns you points, say so; the share buttons add the line for you.
- We may change the values or the perks, or end the program, by posting the change on the community page.
9.Takes, feedback and reader groups
When you send us a take, a question or feedback, you let us read it and, if you said we may, publish it on our site or social pages with your first name and the reader type you chose, edited for length. We never publish your email address. We don’t publish takes from anyone paid by, working for or advising the company they write about, or from anyone who does not tell us whether they hold a position in it.
Reader groups run on the platforms their organizers choose (LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Slack and others) under those platforms’ rules; we don’t control or monitor them, and a group listed with us is not run by us. Our community rules apply to anything you send us and to our own pages and groups: no paid promotion, disclose your positions, no offers or fundraising, no personal attacks.
10.How often we write
The Weekly arrives on Thursdays. The daily board updates on market days. Other notices are occasional.
11.Unsubscribing
Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link. We stop within 10 business days and never charge you or ask you to sign in to leave.
12.How long we keep your details
We keep your details while you are subscribed and delete sign-ups that are never confirmed within 30 days. After you unsubscribe, we delete your optional details within 90 days, but keep your email address, the date and your consent history so we can honor your choices. Ask us at any time to see, correct or delete your data.
13.Age
You must be 18 or older to subscribe. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 and delete any we find.
14.Using this website
- Our content. Reports, scores, text and images are ours or licensed to us. You may read, quote briefly with a link back, and share links. Please don’t republish whole pieces or use them to train or feed a commercial product without asking.
- Other people’s data. Delayed quotes and some charts come from TradingView; filings from SEC EDGAR; dates from companies and US agencies; headlines from their publishers. Each is credited where it appears and on our data sources page. Quotes are delayed and for information only; do not trade on them.
- Links. We link to companies, agencies and publishers we don’t control and aren’t responsible for.
- No warranty. The site and the research are provided as they are. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses from using them or from relying on any figure, date or quote.
- Fair use of the site. No scraping at a rate that burdens the site, no attempts to get around access controls, and no use of our forms to send anything unlawful.
15.Changes
We will post any update here with its effective date, and email you before a material change.
16.Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, and any dispute will be heard in the state or federal courts in Broward County, Florida, except where your local law gives you rights that cannot be waived.
17.Contact
First Look Equities, 200 South Andrews Ave, Suite 504, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301. Write to us through our contact page (choose “Privacy” or “Unsubscribe” for anything about your data). These terms take effect 2 November 2026.
Nothing on this site is investment advice, an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security.
